The prolific Mexican record label, with a strong foothold in the city depths of the Mexican capital, is about to present its new release. We are referring to Veneno, named after the substance that, when introduced into a living being, is capable of producing serious functional alterations and even death.
Veneno presents Waksman, producer and disc jockey from Mexico City. His production has crafted a characteristic sound: strong Dark Disco tendencies, triad harmonies, and tendentious vocals, which together evoke an indie, synthetic and futuristic atmosphere.

Waksman presents Frenesí, a word meaning delirium or violent exaltation of the mood. It is an original track that is complemented by remixes from Noctlux, Umvral, and Undefined Pattern.
Noctlux is the alias of Elliot Salazar Herrera, a producer, and disc jockey originally from the city of León, Guanajuato. He focuses on genres such as House, Indie Dance, EBM, Dark Disco, and Techno. He is an organizer in the collective Hedonist Collective and a resident at Taller Centro.
Attending to the delirium or exaltation of the meaning of the word frenzy, the sound of the original track is velvety smooth to start with. Only when we let it be, do flashes of Indie Dance lead us into a frenzy. Let’s be patient, though: the transition is quite warm, not abrupt. When we just touch the delirium, the vocals take us away from it, leading us to the heavenly idyll.
The result leads us to deltas whose characterization is dual and ambivalent: frenzy for the dancefloor, but deep calm in the heart, taking us back to nostalgic pasts. In the end, the electricity stays to vibrate the dancefloor.
Noctlux’s remix gives it a halo of density, darkness, and subtle psychedelic touch. Electric to start with, it meanders through the sound prisms of the original mix, imbibing them, making them its own. In one of those sonic alleys, the magic turns black, amidst mystery and dread.
That black magic spreads throughout the sound, reaching into all its spaces. Frenesí’s conversion into the Frenesí-Noctlux form is completed amidst nuclear electricity and flaring red skies. Veneno’s venom is active.
