Club Furies

Born in Buenas Aires, Argentina, in 1981, techno artist Jonas Kopp began producing music in 1999, boosted by the global techno movement. With DJ and live performances that made him a fixture on the international techno scene, the dark and functional techno label was well received and gave Kopp greater visibility. He continued to DJ all over the world while releasing a steady stream of singles on renowned labels such as Polegroup, Ownlife, and Tresor.

Now, he presents himself on Ricardo Garduno’s personal imprint, where he lets his mind wander into introspective tribulations of high sonic tailoring. The presentation of these releases intersperses one track from the guest with one from the host, and each features two tracks. Guest for the second dedication of Parallel Thoughts – Vinicius Honorio was a guest on the first delivery – he presents two potent techno diamonds that don’t shy away from reflective sonics, accompanied by fury mediated by reticence and mystery. One of them is Nanofractal.

Fractal is a geometric object in which the same structure, fragmented or apparently irregular, is repeated at different scales and sizes; while nano refers to something whose magnitude is infinitely small. The sound of this track emulates sonic fractals reproducing themselves on a nanometric scale, while our mind is already in the realm of its sound. And just as the fractal repeated itself ad infinitum, the rhythmic valley took over the noise, revealing silence. Once the silence put us on alert, the fractal returned to its taciturn and hypnotic intensity, showing us the path that can lead us to delve inside our psyche.
