Volume eight of Illegal Alien Records‘ anniversary celebration arrives, presented on limited edition twelve-inch vinyl, as well as in digital format! Divided into eight volumes with a total of forty-four exclusive tracks from forty-six great artists, they present the sound of techno from its earliest days to the present day. This is a token of appreciation from the Mexican label to all the artists involved in this project, for believing in Illegal Alien Records, and for joining this celebration and contributing with their music to make this release even more special.
In this last dedication, which completes the eighth, Oscar Mulero, Adriana Lopez, and Zadig join in, and it is closed by the architect of all this, Ricardo Garduno, who presents Trust In Dirt. «Trust In Dirt» is an interesting title in itself, as it takes us back to underground dancefloors, abandoned by the electronic culture industry, placing us in ravesque sound idylls. That phrase becomes a slogan since trusting in dirt implies dedication to it.
The sound is dense, tight, enveloping, trippy. These elements together form sound spirals that are transversalised by barely noticeable vowel samples, which are nonetheless very suggestive. The here and hereafter become a touchstone of the here and now and at the same time of non-place and non-time.
Thus, when time fades away on the track and in our auditory perception, and our body is integrated into the music, the sound design already strains into delicate and subtle sonic mediations, bringing the whole ensemble into an unstoppable techno sophistication.
