Matt Correa is a DJ and producer with over 20 years of experience in both fields. It has been 15 years since his first vinyl release (2004). His performances in different clubs and discotheques of the peninsula are countless. After 10 years living in Madrid, producing for other artists and programming in his own clubs, in 2010 he returned to Marbella to develop his musical activity. As a DJ he covers a wide range of styles – House, Deep, Jackin, and Tech House, focused on the dancefloor. As a music producer, he has developed a thriving career.

After more than 20 years dedicated to music and almost 10 years since his first release, Matt Correa takes the initiative and decides to focus all his artistic work on a single point, Guerrilla Records, his record label, active since 2013. Without guidelines or pre-fixed barriers, Guerrilla Records is the loudspeaker that raises the voice of Matt Correa. Sound loaded with characterful Deep House, with an elegant touch for the dancefloor; some Funk, Disco, Jazz, and Soul in an electronic, nostalgic, but contemporary atmosphere. Guerilla Records is a new starting point for Matt Correa, from which he expresses, without filters, his way of understanding art: electronic music with an organic touch!

After ten years of existence, we bring you our first release for Matt Correa‘s label, whom we only met a few months ago -we know, an apology-. This is the 47th release from Guerrilla Records. Led by the boss, it offers us one of his best productions to date. Straight To The Dancefloor is a production full of winks and classic elements of house music. A production that, as its name suggests, goes straight to the dancefloor.

In its original version, a forceful base serves as support for a funk-tinged bass line. This allows the name of the track to be performative from the start: its enunciation together with the sound takes us straight to the dancefloor. The protagonist, which in this case is an electric piano riff in the purest 90s style, gradually appears until it develops its full potential in the first third. Together with the first element, it sets the mood and atmosphere for a sensual and peaceful dance, under the starry city lights, under the candles of a bohemian club, or in the middle of our living room with the speakers at maximum volume.

This means that the sound structure of this track is polyvalent and versatile. As Guerrilla‘s motto says, house music with an organic touch. This quality allows the sound to be chameleonic, not because it undergoes abrupt variations, but because its design allows it to be listened to in multiple atmospheres, to which the warmth and sensuality of the sound will always be transversal. In the end, it all decays into the stabilization of House and silence – those sounds that we love so much about House.

Along with the Club Mix version, where the bass is even more direct and powerful, the funky character allows the electric piano riff to shine even more, creating a more repetitive and effective sequence. No doubt this is one of those productions that happens from time to time. One of those productions that Matt always had in mind, but never produced until now. These two tracks will undoubtedly delight the most demanding dancefloors, making them dance in an energetic and uninhibited way. Equal parts dance and fun are condensed into two six-minute doses.
