Franck Collin, aka Fleck E.S.C, is an electro artist originally from France who currently lives in the bustling metropolis of Tokyo, Japan. Franck’s previous experience playing bass and drums in bands, and his love of horror, sci-fi, and B-movies, led him naturally to the electronic music scene. In addition, Fleck E.S.C has influences rooted in New Wave, Contemporary, Techno, and Ambient music.

Fleck E.S.C tries to avoid the clichés of the Electro genre, leaning more towards the spooky side of horror and sci-fi and cheap retro sounds in homage to the movies he loves. Never too serious, unpretentious, and always looking for fresh sounds, Fleck E.S.C‘s music aims to distract the body and the brain.

For the new vinyl release on Diffuse Reality Records, Fleck E.S.C presents Off Line, a work composed of two original tracks, two available in physical format – Chicken Breast and Unfriendly Yours – and the other two on digital – I don’t know not don’t know and Offline-. With no apparent conceptual relationship between the names of the tracks, Chicken Breast quickly transports us to that dark electro, full of reminiscences of sci-fi audiovisuals and horror films. Between fleeting stridencies and screams drowned out in the machines, the sound breaks out in cool, electric deltas.

Perched on those skies illuminated by darkness, the structure of the sound becomes tenebrous and phenomenal – in the primordial sense of the word -, and only recedes when the sound lets out a direct electro puff. It is at that moment that the synthesis happens: freshness, electricity, darkness, mystery, and gloom become one. It’s a sensational first track, which opens the Spanish label’s new vinyl in the best way.
