Illegal Alien Records welcomes a great artist, Dave Wincent. No stranger to the techno world, he has had strong releases on labels such as Soma, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, and Materia. This is his Mexican label debut. Its name is My Diary, another solid EP from the Hungarian-born and bred artist. Five tracks whose sound is perceived as very intimate, and the title of each track tells us a little bit that this is the case: bright, tribulant, introspective, but at the same time with more than enough capabilities for the dancefloor.
Among the five tracks that tell us a lot about the artist, My Diary 5 accumulates the previous tracks into a thick, compact, and heavy mass of sound, swirling some of the Bucharest-based artist’s deepest thoughts. Through bulbs expelling bubbles, anxiety is dislodged and excitement takes over, all of which leads to deep introspective detours into delirium and silence. After that, everything explodes.
The sound, the rhythm, the dancer, the dancefloor, and the creative quality of Dave Wincent, who, after four tracks, turns his diary into a sonic manifesto of impressive magnitude. Pure rhythmic magma that combines with complex mental thoughts. This collision is overwhelming and exciting at the same time. And in that process becomes to fission in silence.
