Club Furies

PHYC is the project of the Portuguese-born producer, currently based in Holland. Influenced by the underground atmosphere of Amsterdam, the unpredictable techno for the mind and body, he arrives at one of the labels of the moment, in terms of the extent of its catalogue, as for the curatorship it enjoys. We are talking about Diffuse Reality Records, which presents its work entitled Uranus, composed of four original tracks.

Uranus is the seventh planet in the solar system, the third largest, and the fourth most massive. It is named after the Greek sky deity Uranus, the father of Kronos and grandfather of Zeus. Uranus is either the point of departure, the point of arrival; or the point in between. If we pay attention to the sounds of this work, as well as to the title of each of its tracks, we are facing a galactic cosmic tale involving spaceships, stranded astronauts, and the infinite black of the universe. From the transmission of the arrival/departure/extravoyance, the anchoring that such a situation entails, its analysis, and finally its ascent.

After being informed of the situation, anchoring is imminent. Anchorage begins with a nervous sound, aware of the delicate situation in which the spacecraft finds itself. It quickly disengages itself from the situation, to clutch at nerves of steel and spectacular, as well as powerful, aerospace resilience. Echoing the infinity behind it, the sound enters contemplative terrain, observing the situation. Fun is part of it, so the track is imbued with freshness, playfulness, and heartbeats that come and go.

The sound patterns in which the track runs delineate hypnotic ambiances and atmospheres, upon which the listener/dancer rests, losing himself in them, just as our astronaut is. Lost in the sidereal space, it is time to find ourselves. This is a complete work, which tells us a story, with conceptual and sonic connections very well achieved, and magnificent art, which does justice to what it wants to express. A sonic work of art fully expressed.
