Club Furies

Illegal Alien Records welcomes Italian MTD back to the label. This time, as Rhythm Assembler, his other side project. Nicola has made some great releases over the years on major labels, earning himself a solid position in the techno world. This is her debut as Rhythm Assembler on Illegal Alien Records. It’s called Inner Research, a work of five original tracks, in which there is a cerebral element that is both haunting and wonderful.

Each track has an element so finely constructed that you get lost in it, not knowing for sure what it is. A wonderful quality that gestated in each and every track. And on Juicy Dub, the closing track, this happens uniquely. It is the most subdued track in that quality. Smooth pads and crisp, fresh structures give it a really bright and glassy enhancement. These are dub caresses that overflow the soul and the steps of the dancer.

In the deepest layers, it is about the inner search that reaches into simple and actual realms; the search that ends up finding what is sought. If the previous tracks demanded attentive listening from the listener, this track demands relaxation and unfolding, both from the listener and the producer. So it is a complete alter-ego interaction.
