Club Furies

From the Atacama Desert, in Iquique, one of our favorite labels presents its new stripe on the plate. This is the thirty-sixth release and the first of the year 2024. We are talking about Flash Back, presented by Árido Records, and produced by the talented Mexican artist CRØG. An extended play with exquisite, raw, deep, and hypnotic techno, masterfully executed. Accompanied by a dramatic cinematic atmosphere, which transports us to the infinity of the universe.

We know that a flashback is a memory that fleetingly comes to mind, so ephemeral that we can barely identify it clearly, although it evokes such a significant memory that we know exactly what it is. One of the things that portray these fleeting memories of the past is the self, i.e. ourselves, through these memories. That is the starting point for the sound of this release, as well as the guide that runs through each track.

However, in Inner Self, there is a particular variation: the accentuation of the heaviness of the sound structure, which feels like scarce oxygen and dark atmospheres. Through charged sonic elements, the sound seeks to reach the deepest part of our being, our self. That, as one might think, is not so easy to achieve. So the rhythms of Inner Self are the background of this psychic process. In dance, on the other hand, the sound requires dancers who are attentive and willing to work to make the dance full.

Another great work from the desert label, which presents the relaunch as Rodrigo Corona producer, this time as CRØG, whose sound shows very well-worked sonic layers and enviable productive patience.
