Club Furies

Bebhionn is one of the four known moons in the Gallic group. These moons have prograde orbits (they travel around Saturn in the same direction as the planet’s rotation), but their egg-shaped and angular orbits classify them as «irregular» moons. Like Saturn’s other irregular moons, they are believed to be objects captured by the planet’s gravity, rather than having attached themselves to the dusty disc that surrounded the newly formed planet, as the regular moons are thought to have done.

Bebhionn is also the name of the project by the producer from Oviedo, Spain, who presents his work Planetarum on Dynamic Form, the Spanish label based in Seville. Composed of four original tracks, the eponymous track opens the work. A dense sound, woven in thick strands that blunt in cool and metallic atmospheres, pointing to the universe. Oxygen-scarce, palpable, and impregnable darkness; stranded astronauts and unanchored spaceships. And in front of them the starry black infinity.

Bebhionn manages to weave a brilliant as well as imposing atmosphere through subtle but explicit sound design. Planetarum becomes the spearhead that gives dynamism to the next stripe on Dynamic Form‘s plate. Planets and universes as a form of techno.
