Here comes the tenth release in ten-inch vinyl format to be presented on Illegal Alien Records, under the label Illegal Alien LTD. And who else but the boss, Ricardo Garduno, to present it. It’s called Evil Hunter, a simply spectacular double tracker. The homonymous track and Horn Chaser are the tracks. Two synonymous words. And what do they refer to in each title? In one of them, they refer to a quality of the hunter, diabolical; in the other to what he hunts, the horns – the horns of what or who, we don’t know.

The sound of Horn Chaser implies the sound of Evil Hunter, as it establishes which hunter we are talking about. While the second track is already after his target. We’ll skip the first part so that they get their copy as soon as possible. Skillful, fearless, agile, meandering sound. Who knows how to navigate the sound design that Ricardo has set for him. Which is at once fierce, voracious, and overwhelming.

At its climax, it is unsettling, as if the hunt for the horns is about to end, and the target is imminently reached. And after that, the sound slows down the rhythm, leaving behind the stormy and effervescent atmospheres it had shown us. But they do not disappear altogether but are synthesized in the sounds previously poured out.

Ricardo continues to show himself as a well-established artist, with versatile sound designs, well grounded in powerful, yet subtle, brilliant, and sharp techno. This time on ten-inch vinyl with beautifully designed artwork.
