It was just the first signs of the year 2023, which gave way to new reboots with 2024, and we presented Matt Correa‘s debut on the platform. It was Straight to the Dancefloor, a resounding success. Now, for February, our dear Matt presents Funky Feeling. A categorical work, whose tech house character is danceable and powerful.

Funky Feeling is a production that has been slow-cooked. A production that was conceived in 2018 as a tech house track, which has been tested live on multiple occasions, always proving to be effective on the dancefloor. It was conceived to be part of Matt Correa‘s live sets under his pseudonym Soul Intentions. Last year, Matt gave it a twist in his studio, incorporating new sounds and making some variations, achieving an excellent result.

Funky Feeling combines the usual elements of Matt Correa‘s productions. Produced from an Akai Mpc2500, it was initially a very effective drum and bass combination on the floor, although eventually, the addition of a synth chord that Matt used live made this track a powerful hip-breaker with excellent continuity. A very powerful house beat provides the basis for a funky drum sample that complements and creates that groove-heavy movement that could play for hours without getting boring. The super deep bass line runs a very attractive sequence which is accompanied by a unison synth line.

Imagine a day of the week, either on a weekday, when you have work to do; imagine also a day of the week when you are free from work and can enjoy some free time. Imagine a sound for both situations. Matt Correa‘s song is suitable for both. Whether it’s coping with the day-to-day routine of work, refreshing the mood, or pushing the body and mind to paradisiacal places. And it’s a superb enhancer and fuel for the night and the party dance.

Fresh, agile, contemporary, and very enjoyable. All the elements are to be listened to on repeat on headphones, on our home audio system, as well as looped on the speakers of our favorite house club. Funky Feeling will be available on all platforms in mid-February with an initial exclusivity period on Traxsource and Spotify. Extended versions will be available on download platforms and radio edits on streaming platforms.
