When we think of the Sun, the closest star to Earth and the center of our solar system, we think of two things fundamentally: the source of life and of extreme temperatures and heat. Its light warms our planet and makes life possible. An active star with sunspots, solar flares, prominences, and coronal mass ejections. All these impact near-Earth space and determine its intergalactic climate. In a few million years, it will only become a red giant and then a white dwarf. Many cultures have had interesting myths about the Sun, recognizing its importance for life on Earth.

This semantic rodeo of our galactic giant points to the new release of the new emerging project from Oaxaca, one of the centers of Mexican national electronica. Timeless is formed by Javier Martínez and Emmanuel Vazquez, whose sound is characterized by including strong bass lines, vocals, sequences, and enveloping sounds that result in a DJ set full of energy. For their new release, they team up with Holdrr, the project created by Rodrigo Holder, a young man originally from the city of Oaxaca, Mexico. With a unique style that is characterized by the creation of very euphoric techno and house tracks, full of intense bass and distorted vocals, ideal for the dance floor.

It’s called The Sun, an original track by Timeless and Holdrr, which is presented by VIBRNTE -or also Vibrante Records-, a record label based in Aguascalientes, Mexico, founded by Chapa and ROB-IIN. Their proposal is a new one for the Mexican indie dance, whose ranks already include artists such as Diskontrol, Vleks, and Hyper Trvshit, among many others.

The sound of The Sun has a transparent parallelism with the image of the sun and the black background of the universe that surrounds it. Dark outlines, typical of indie dance, with agile and fast, quickly effervescent rhythms and time structures, typical of the sun. While the voices of a sleeping giant or titan moan «the sun» as darkness looms over us and the sun.

The sound enters a valley of calm and latent tension, paralleled by dancers preparing for the ritual to come. After this valley of sound, the rhythm excites the dancer, covering him with alluring sweats and exciting body movements, dancing to the sound of The Sun. After a second sonorous valley, the dance floor goes wild and delirious. Electricity takes over the atmosphere and the temporal dimensions are disintegrated in the sound of Timeless, which promises to be in many of the ears and dance floors of Oaxaca and the country.
