Mexican label Illegal Alien Records welcomes Vinicius Honorio, also known as Adrïan and Matth_M. Together they team up to debut on the label headed by Ricardo Garduno. They present a track entitled Lipari, which is complemented by remixes from Vinicius Honorio, Joton, and Italian duo W/CYA.
Matth_M is a project formed in 2012 by Matteo Nicchiotti, in which he explores sounds, images, and parallel universes. In the darkness of it, he includes various rhythms. The emerging Italian duo W/CYA, coming from the unknown parts of our minds, part of the new school of Techno, presents an edit of the original track called Mind Stretch.
Lipari is one of the seven Aeolian Islands, a volcanic archipelago in Italy located in the Tyrrhenian Sea north of Sicily, in the province of Messina. Lipari is the largest island and the main port of the archipelago, as well as the most populated. The original Lipari mix is a combination of volcanic elements that interact, appearing to play a dynamic and hot game, which remains calm. While W/CYA‘s interpretation sleeps it all in strands of nocturnal nature, where fireflies are the sonorous rulers.
The narrowness alluded to in the title of their release rests on tight, dense sound structures that squeeze and suffocate the atmosphere. At the same time, nanometric circuits are responsible for refreshing the sound and keeping it attentive. This sound structure visually resembles jungle wanderings and wild animals in search of impatient prey. In the end, something has to give, either the prey is hunted or the animal is left without it. In the meantime, the sound comes to silence and this Mind Stretch leaves us wanting to know what will come.
