Club Furies

Valelungo is a budding DJ and producer, who in 2016 decided to move to Amsterdam, where he is currently based. Moving to Amsterdam made him discover the beauty of electronic music. Studying sound design opened up the path to music production. In the process of that apprenticeship, it is now the experimental and art label Teorema – the Diffuse Reality Records sub label – that presents his release entitled Train Dreams.

This work is composed of eight original tracks, and we assume the track titles allude to some of those magic train dreams – as one pass through some of the cities of Europe, whose train system is the most widespread and widely used form of transport. One of those dreams is Luna Piena, which can be translated as full moon, the time when the moon appears in its full form.

Let’s do an exercise. Let’s look at the moon on the day you read these words. We agree that it may be in some of its phases. Would we want it to be a full moon if we were predisposed by the title of the song? Or would we simply want it to be a full moon because of the semantics that runs around the full moon and one of its myths, that of the werewolf turned by the sight of it?

Whatever the case, the sound of this track is wonderful, it is hypnotic, it is melodic. It resembles the magic and hypnotism that a full moon provokes. The track’s extended duration is another of its great qualities. Losing oneself in its multiple stages, just like the moon, is in itself an enviable process. Reaching the end of each stage and waiting for the transition to the next becomes an anxious desire. In the end, all comes to the idyll and completeness of the full moon.
