The Mexican talent currently based in Acambay, Mexico, finally arrives on the experimental platform of Diffuse Reality Records. We are talking about MOGO, who presents Out Of Conscious State by Teorema. This work is made up of seven original tracks and two VOX versions. For the talented Mexican artist, one of our contemporary favorites, this is an exceptional and well-crafted work. So it was only natural that the Barcelona platform signed him to its catalog.
The title In The Swing Of Things may seem precise and ambiguous at the same time. First, because it refers to something concrete; but also because of what does it mean to be in the rhythm of things, if they can be literally anything, material, ethereal, or ideological. Such a chaotic state or semantic despair is appeased by rhythm and sound design, which are followed by the martyrdom of the former ― we are talking about operational functional paradoxes.
Why do I speak of an operative functional paradox? Because in the same song, in its sound, chaos and calm and stillness coexist in parallel; and because this ambivalent duality works perfectly in the sound. More precisely, that is MOGO‘s manifest intention, which subtly shapes it. In the end, everything falls under the hypnotic spell of the Mexican artist, of whom it has been said that word has never been more accurate.
