The British label Idlestates has prepares a fascinating sonic renaissance with its stunning return after a brief hiatus. It does so with a tantalizing thirteen-track Various Artists compilation. Sound delve into the avant-garde realms of electronic body music and industrial electronic music. A highly anticipated release features a carefully curated selection of pioneering artists who are reshaping today’s sonic landscape.

Let’s get ready for this exciting listening expedition with fourteen artists. It’s a combination of new talents making their label debut and veteran favorites making their triumphant return. After our first premiere for this VA, we return for another one! Daymon, known as Luct Melod, is from Illinois, USA. He makes dark music heavily influenced by post-industrial and EBM sounds. He opposes the status quo that promotes violence, exploitation, and terror in the service of the interests of the few. He likes DOS-based trackers, obscure EBM vinyl, and the 1995 film, Hackers.

His contribution to the second volume of The Semiconscious System is called Ademption. A crack of nanometric circuitry opens up in front of us. A crack of space-time dimensions. A crack that opens before us mysteries, enigmas, and millenary fears. With subtlety, patience, and wild sounds, Luct Melod‘s track manages to postrate us before dark and fearful challenges. Cracks, darkness, and parallel dimensions await us.

Intermittent rhythms, almost apocalyptic atmospheres, faded nostalgia, and diluting semantics. And a semi-conscious system in full effervescence: is it this or that? We don’t know for sure… And when we glimpse an answer in the sound, a lightning bolt ends up plunging everything into silence.
