Club Furies

The desert label, as we like to call Arido Records, presents its new release. It is Gradual Movement, a collection of four original tracks by Asmodeo. Colombian DJ and producer dedicated to producing and playing Techno with hypnotic, experimental, and atmospheric dyes. He is the founder of Parallel Collective, where he broadcasts a series of podcasts with artists from all over the world. He is also the founder of a record label called Hypnotism Records.

Asmodeo uses arpeggiated sounds, strong and deep beats, and percussions with unique rhythmic variations in his music. For Iquique label’s thirty-eighth release, he presents a sound full of sci-fi techno, shimmering atmospheres, cinematic textures, and deep hypnotic sequences. The track that closes this work is titled Elements, a title that may allude to the qualities that the Colombian artist enhanced not only in this track but in the whole work.

Elements also functions as a synthesis or delta to which all the previous sound arrives: it is not the sum of the previous sound, but the previous sound is the condition of existence of this track. A uniqueness that requires enabling structures. In them, the sound runs towards hell and darkness with techno at the same time intense and well delineated. Ferocity and voracity are mediated by a polished sound design, which causes the track to caress the ear with intensity. And when everything becomes delirious, the track runs into silence amidst apocalyptic valleys.

In shining metals and fading electricity, the doors on the other side open; the veil is drawn back, and the sound becomes incredibly frenetic. In it, the psyche is lost and the body becomes its vassal. The once-conscious dancers become shadows dancing side by side with ottos, in search of the elements behind which Elements owes its existence. It is a track that closes an incredible work; it is at the same time one of the elements of Gradual Movement.
