The new reference from Ucker Records is here! This time the Spanish talent Linear Phase presents Particles IV, a collection of ten original tracks. It is an electrifying journey through the realms of techno, as the Barcelona master himself knows how to do.

Arithmetical Radiations is the track that follows the intro, the one that serves as an eerie entrance to a sonic dimension. Amidst ambient enchantments, the eerie takes over our perception, leading us into a realm of mystery. After this spectacular beginning, after crossing the veil, we are on the other side. The other side of what?

Radiation is the wave energy or material particles that propagate through space. If we express it arithmetically, we arrive at the mathematical expression of these wavelets/particles. When we convert these mathematical radiations into sound in the form of this artist’s techno, the result is extraordinary.

There is a subtle duality, but it is clearly expressed. On the one hand, a latent darkness becomes more and more manifest as the sound progresses, and on the other hand, a calm and patient sound design manages to install expectation and excitement in alter. When this duality dances together to delirious places, the rhythm slows down and gives us a break. The radiation and its numerical expression reach almost zero.

Then the pitch begins to run again. This time the delirium is mediated by sound strands and veils that begin to form sound barriers to be deciphered. It is a sound that pulsates with a fascinating vitality that imbues the waves with an energetic appeal. The artist orchestrates a sonic equation that unfolds in vivid patterns.
