Club Furies

From Bosnia and Herzegovina, Assad Harri presents an extensive long play with twenty-four original tracks entitled Soul Shaker. With extraordinary handling of rhythms, sounds, and atmospheres, ranging from breakbeat to techno, electro, and acid. When we were confronted with this extensive work, we put it on and let it run. Track after track, there was a common quality: each track was a universe in itself but taken as a whole, it also managed to be one.

It was impossible to pick one as a favorite, let alone present it on our platform. So Serbez went because you had to choose, but don’t get confused: every track is great, and some of them are just phenomenal. We tell you! the title of this work comes true when we listen to him: he manages to shake our souls.

Sound bulbs that function as heart latencies that position themselves in front of the sound. Excitement and anticipation grow; fear and emotion show up in the body; and our mind is already thinking about how to be carried away by bodily perception at the moment when the sound of Serbez runs through our ears in its first seconds. The beats per minute accelerate millimeter by millimeter and our body gets more and more excited. So much so that the rhythm has to decrease, leading us into raving deliriums and reticent eternal nights in which silence – almost – arrives.

And then: from reticence to its full manifestation through uncontrolled sound and illuminated atmospheres, which, however, pass before us in the off, while we watch the sound of Assad Harri taking over everything. The veil is lifted and before us lies the idyll of hell and the ethereal floating amid incandescent lava, which in this environment reaches subtle and delicate enviable notes that once again lead us almost to silence.
