Club Furies

Konstantin Kost is a Ukrainian musician from the city of Odesa. Lover of deep and heavy techno sound, in his music and music sets you can hear his mood and inner message. With multiple mixes for platforms such as On the 5th Day, Codec 992, LOOSE.FM, Temple, Cosmonauts Athens, DEEP MVMT, Shadow People, among many others, we got the opportunity to have this Ukrainian DJ in our Mix Series. We listened to some of them and decided to include him.

Our mix series is called Cintas Furiosas – Furious Tapes, in English. They are inspired by the band from the cult film The Warriors (1979) called Baseball Furies, and the scintillating Imperator Furiosa, the iconic character from the fourth installment of the Mad Max saga, Fury Road (2015). Conceived as tapes that express a “furious sound”, both as a metaphor and as a sonic process, they acquire a special and unique fury with each artist they feature. With Konstantin Kost, the result is very hipnotic and deep, emotionally and on the floor.

From the beginning, we are immersed in caves and subway algae located in the depths of the earth’s crust, where oxygen is scarce and its sound is in charge of substituting it. As the transition from the oxygen of the outside runs to the oxygen of the sound, time stops in drops of penetrating blue and limpid crystals. With the transition complete, everything is now sound; we have been absorbed by the sound of Konstantin Kost. And this sound allows us to dance fresh and free, without prejudices or ties. No attire, just the body.

Hypnotism as transition, that is how the sound manages to subsume the mind of the dancer in the rave that is taking place. It is the peak hours of the night and the party. It’s the sounds in the world and no more. It’s the knobs and Konstantin‘s creativity behind the turntables connecting to the other side. We are the other side, who have also connected. It’s time for lasers and neon lights, just as the hearts are pumping, and the floor is already cresting.
