The Sound Energy is full of Rhythms in different Times and Spaces, edifying us in each one of the Sequences and Vibrations delivered to the human ear. Entering Tribal, Hypnotic, Deep, and Energetic elements which Placid shows us changes in four tracks that simultaneously are made as much as for the Dance Floor or as to simply share a Sound Meditation. This is SHFT, a producer from New Delhi, India, who has created for us this new Digital Journey that KVLTÖ Records presents.
The sound that defines SHFT would be precisely described as boundless, clean, and effervescent. Part and parcel of India’s underground music community, he has always kept his head down and all his attention focused on the music. Having played countless clubs and festivals over the last decade, his skills have evolved into an artist who is now risk-taking, bold, and sincere, both behind the decks and in the studio.
Now the label originally from Mexico, founded by Martyn Päsch, presents a chilled-out gem perfect for all times. The opening track is called 212˚F. The equivalent of this measurement in Celsius degrees is one hundred, the boiling point of water. At first, it is a difficult sound to decipher, probably because the duality that loads in nuce constrains it precise limits. And it is that between the attentive listening and the dance floor, both ideal environments for this release, the sound of its opening track prostrate itself right in the middle; or in one of the sides and at the same time in none.
Perhaps that’s the biggest difficulty with its sound. However, it turns out to be a very well-structured sonic structure, with icy precision and full of latent fieriness that any turntable expert can unleash with the required skills. In its final delta, the one that gives way to the iridescence, that is to say, the next track, one begins to notice those reflections of different colors, generally like those of the rainbow.
