Club Furies

Notnotice is the project of Ivan Somov, based in St. Petersburg, Russia, focused on the genres of ambient music and experimental Techno outsider electronica. Since 2012, he has moved from Dark Ambient to Techno. One of the characteristics of the project is his home base and a non-professional, absolutely relaxed approach, which allows him to show everyone else that there are no rules in music and that everyone can do it.

Spanish label Subsist Records presents Behind, a work of eight original tracks. It is the continuation of the previous album, Ahead, released at the beginning of last year. Behind offers a techno journey into the vestiges of technological dreams of the past. By exploring retro-futuristic landscapes, the album delves into the hypnotic allure of antiquated technology and space-age visions. With pulsating beats, robotic rhythms, and cosmic atmospheres, it transports listeners to a world where the future has become the past, but still exerts an irresistible fascination – it’s about the techno dream that has become present.

The Yage Letters is how we enter this retro-futuristic reality. Between constant densities and realities that do not end up arriving, clearly based on expectations. Between infinite stardust, which has crossed pasts and futures. And among pulsating rhythms that are persistent and persevering. Reluctant sounding letters, nevertheless, explicit. Dualities of reality are shown in sound. Trepidly loaded with sound layers, the structure weaves vertexes in many places and rhythms, the same ones that form a spectacular synthesis, typical of one of our favorite producers.

In sum, the whole work shows strong densities and tensions that twist into skeins and impressive sonic knots, like the depths of a volcano. A chameleonic sound that travels through quiet and dark places, full of mysteries and rhythmic subtleties, perched in times that were not and are not. Let’s enter the retrofuturistic realm and let Behind‘s music transport us to another dimension.
