Club Furies

One of our favorite labels presents a crazy release, spectacular from start to finish. From São Paulo, Brazil, Primitive State Records presents delirium, strength, and Techno sophistication as I rarely remember lately. I am talking about the London producer ØLMØ sound, who presents Hard Decisions. ØLMØ is a DJ and producer whose studio aims to connect raw elements and clean soundscapes; it is an investigation to bridge entertainment and cultural expression, art and chaos.

Active in the music world since the early 2000s, he has moved through different genres, exploring different styles and techniques. Since 2014 the artist has been working as a DJ tutor for London Sound Academy, recently recognized as an official pioneer DJ educator. He has performed in clubs like Fold, Egg, Ministry of Sound, Corsica Studios, O2 Academy, Fire, Lightbox, Aquarium, Brixton Jam, Dingwalls, and Big Chill. He gained residencies as an individual and with his teams in clubs like Egg, Ministry of Sound, Cafe1001, Union, Brixton Jamm, Horse, and Groom. He has been booked in international gigs in Ibiza, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Poland, Romania, and Italy.

Now he presents himself on the Brazilian label with a four-track EP at the core of which is Observant. Ferocity that makes itself feel progressive, starting reluctantly, supported by an aggressive and well-cared sound design. It positions itself as a rotor from where it observes the sound and the audience. That is, it can observe itself and others. The sound is brutal, voracious, and very wild.

It is an impeccable sonorous structure, made up of layers that together form an impeccable whole. A great release from the Londoner, and a giant step forward in the evolution and curation of Primitive State‘s sound.
