We present you the new release of our favorite experimental artistic platform. We are talking about Teorema, the platform in charge of it from Diffuse Reality Records. Artem Dzura is a member of the now disbanded duo Diane’s Tapes, whose last release Diane’s Tapes – III was released on the Spanish label in 2022. Since then he began experimenting with different directions in music. The result of it was an ambient album mixed with Ukrainian poetry.
It is a new album called The Way Within in collaboration with Ukrainian poet Victoria Wierzbicka. The album is based on synthesizers, field recordings, and Victoria’s voice-telling melancholic poems. These are two Ukrainian artists currently living in Warsaw, Poland.
Fear’s Embrace is an ode to the situation that brings us face-to-face with fear. That anguished disturbance of the spirit by a real or imaginary risk or harm is faced in art, in poetry, in language perception; in sound. No one wants to feel fear, normally. But when it is felt we can either let it eat us or face it. In that way, embracing fear does not mean letting ourselves be appeased by it, but facing it in whatever way we can. The sound of this track is a beautiful piece of art that gives form in the ways of art to fear, and to embracing it.
Diane’s Tapes quickly became one of our favorite artists. No doubt Artem Dzura now with Victoria Wierzbicka are now as well. Another great release from Teorema.
