A new dual project emerges destined to take the Electro genre to new heights. Synthbotics is the collaboration between Philip Adeon and Damian Henderson, who dabble in contemporary electronics and their machines with the original TB-303, the TR-808, and the TR-909; plus other classic and modern machines. Hailing from the Netherlands and the UK respectively, both Barcelona-based, they have emerged as the visionary minds behind this new collaborative force. Their latest extended play entitled Electro Planet is an electrifying journey and is the fourth Adeon Records release, exploring the intriguing concept of a world where humans and machines coexist in perfect harmony. They join forces to embark on an electrifying journey through the realms of electro, pushing the boundaries of sound and technology.

Philip Adeon, representative of the Dutch music scene, brings his distinctive touch to the collaboration. His mastery of legendary drum machines and synthesizers such as the Acid machine, the Roland TB-303, the Phat TR-808 electro beat-making machine and the legendary TR-909 techno drum machine have become the cornerstone of the duo’s sonic palette. Joining forces with Adeon is Damian Henderson, a collaborator with the same passion for the electronic frontier who brings over 20 years of experience in live music performance and audio engineering. Together, they have seamlessly integrated their individual artistry, drawing on Henderson‘s mastery and experience in manipulating sound through a series of legendary instruments from Korg, Jomox, Novation, Roland, and Waldorf.

Comprised of three original tracks, Electro Planet opens with the eponymous track, which catapults us to an alien planet where electronic pulses serve as a heartbeat. The Machines are Back Alive delves into the resurgence of machines and their symbiotic relationship with humans, imagining a future in which the two become one.

Moog’s Whisper closes this three-tracker and is the one that represents the rise of sentient machines. It is an emotive discourse on the advent of a new era, articulated through deep Moog synth lines and jazzy improvisations, accompanied by pulsating rhythms. With futuristic nostalgias―a temporal paradox, moreover,― new futures emerge, from the hands of machines and their buttons, as well as the human genius that has conceived and managed them. These nostalgias extend in an idyllic and ethereal way in the sound, making future realities emerge in the present. In this way, the art of Synthbotics manages to take hold in the fictitious realities of real realities: in the art of their art.

This EP, Electro Planet, by Synthbotics, transcends the boundaries of a typical EP: it is an aural journey into a future where technology and human essence merge into robust and relentless Electro beats. Let’s join Synthbotics in this unprecedented exploration of sound and technology, where boundaries fade away and the future of music unfolds. By merging their artistic visions and mastering the mythical rhythms of iconic drum machines and the pulsating beats of synthesizers, Synthbotics promises an aural adventure that blurs the boundaries between man and machine.
