Mexican label Illegal Alien Records is pleased to welcome back Dast to the label. After his last contribution to our latest V.A. compilation, Deported Series: Eleven, for which by the way we had the premiere of this Italian producer’s track, now Dast makes his debut on Illegal Alien Records with a great four-track EP titled Nebula. Another fantastic release from the Italian artist in which groovy, rhythm, and intensity come together in quite interesting and very striking ways.
Dancing Somebody is the second track of this work. In the middle of a rather fast-paced, almost frenetic spiral, some of Dast‘s sonic influences outside of techno are noticeable. Close to the rave scene of the nineties and the first years of this century, and with powerful techno structures, the combination is magnificent. Such a structure has to be versatile and open to the agility and freshness that this other sound brings.
Faced with the challenge, the sound manages to create atmospheres and sound ranges that make us travel fast, through all its crusts, between valleys and peaks, silences and noises. This is one of the best tracks I have heard lately. It is a tremendous happiness to have him premiered by Club Furies.
