The mission of Espectro A, a new record label, based in Iquique, Atacama (Chile) is twofold. First, to produce and promote high-quality electronic music, with special attention to deep techno, which not only satisfies the ears but also feeds the soul. Secondly, it is to commit to using all proceeds to support families with limited resources by providing them with access to the ADOS-2 test for the diagnosis of autism spectrum in children. Rooted in a firm belief in the transformative power of music, it draws a strong conviction to use it to make the world a more inclusive and compassionate place. Both a passion for music and a commitment to the autism spectrum cause and the community at large: that’s what Espectro A is all about.
For its first release, Chilean artist John Plaza, currently based in Barcelona, Spain, is in charge of presenting and leading the debut of Espectro A, the first sponsor of our crusade that seeks to support low-income families who need to perform the ADOS-2 test to children to confirm if they have the autism spectrum condition (ASC). John Plaza is an artist producer, and owner of Linderluft Records. His sound is characterized by minimalist percussions, continuous atmospheres, breakbeat rhythms, and a search for mental journeys and movements.
The release is titled Adios Vaquero, and is composed of four deep techno tracks essentially. A solid work, with a great sound. The homonymous track is also in charge of closing this collection of sounds. Set in deep, recondite landscapes, full of history and accumulated time, the rhythm comes warmly and freshly. Frozen in time, fine effervescent drops collide with the tundra environment outside. This causes incredible sonic mediations, full of duality, expressing implacable sonic syntheses.
Adios Vaquero is the first form of hope in the techno sound for all those surrounded by the autistic spectrum, looking for more people to raise awareness of the condition. There are not a few words left to express the pride and happiness that it gives us to know that Espectro A has a mission to take charge in part of that sensitization – besides all the economic help that they will give – through the sound art.
