Club Furies

It was a matter of time for Spanish producer Linear Phase to introduce himself on the desert label. We’re talking about Arido Records, who presents their next release in the making, led by the Barcelona-based producer. He presents an EP titled Ciclo Vital, composed of seven original tracks. It is about the fortieth stripe on the plate. Techno sound is characterized by an enigmatic sound and sharp rhythms ideal for the dancefloor, in addition to the classic musical details of Arido Records.

One of these tracks is titled Fear Factory, whose title in itself presents a break with the semantics established by the title of the work, as well as the rest of the names of each track that integrate it. The sound, however, remains coherent with the rest. Between strands that give it a powerful beginning, as well as a marked subtle structure, everything indicates quite robust and strong rhythms and evolutions.

Little by little all the sound layers are integrated into the structure, giving it more body and volume. Just as the structure has thickened and the rhythm has slowed down, it has to stop for a few seconds, to make sense of the tide that has swept over us. After those moments, everything speeds up, in the middle of the volcanic density -characteristic of Linear Phase. Now everything becomes electricity, electric lightning, lava sparks, and ethereal volcanoes.
