Club Furies Premiere: RPTLS – Castigo [NODE Recordings]

Here comes the next release from Spanish label NODE Recordings. True to their series, characterized by a core of emerging and positioned artists and well-curated collections, comes the next one. Falling Textures is called, a collection of five original tracks by five different artists. Falling Textures is a suggestive title given that, in the sound of electronica, and in particular techno, the handling of textures is impressive, so much so that they can reach infinity. When we talk about falling textures, what does it mean?

Castigo is one of the tracks of this release, provided by RPTLS. Pungent at the beginning, incipient in its evolution and combining a double sound ambivalence, depth/surface and densification/lightness, it manages to model very suggestive visual correlates: ice volcanoes and freezing lava that can only shock those ears and eyes that can visualize it. In the end, the falling textures can be seen in some way on the cover of this release, whose rough and rugged stones fall on soft white canvases.

Likewise, RPTLSCastigo presents itself as one of the ways in which textures are molded, in the form of hypnotic and unique sonic structural depths. It will be a matter of time to listen to the rest of this release, which promises to be just as magnificent as the previous ones.
