Ucker Records presents its next release. The Argentine label and collective present the second installment of Synchronized Layers, a collection of various artists. Among them, we have the incomparable talent from Cordoba, Spain, Bernardo Hangar. An inevitable name of the Spanish Techno movement of the 90s. A true veteran of the Techno scene, he began to nuance his style with the explosion of Electronic Body Music, which made him one of the most avant-garde and risky artists in Southern Europe, and one of the first genuinely underground DJs in our community.

After three decades of living for his music and his personal dedication fostered a special connection with his work. Director of his own label, DarkForest, Bernardo Hangar‘s sound is innovative and avant-garde providing a captivating experience to infinity.

His Ucker release is called The Assembly Of Shadows. In ancient Greece, assemblies took place in the agora, the public place par excellence, where decisions affecting the people were made. This image is now appropriate if we now identify an assembly of shadows. We would wonder if the shadows were or will be.

A few words will suffice because what really matters is the sound. Imagine conceiving that gathering of shadows, past or future, in sound. At first, it becomes difficult. But the artistic creativity of Bernardo Hangar achieves it in an exceptional way. Darkness, patience, versatility, wide but tight structures, rhythmic brilliance, and above all a lot of precision. One of my favorite tracks of the last weeks.
