Raw, appropriate, atmospheric, hypnotic. A product of the old school and the newest of the new. That’s how SEGUE ONE presents himself, a Mexican-born, Los Angeles-based DJ and producer whose sonic creations stay true to his influences in authentic techno. With over fourteen years of experience, he has carefully crafted a no-nonsense track aimed at underground enthusiasts. With an undulating kick drum and bass, swirling hi-hats, a spiraling ride, analog bleeps, and vocals whose focal point is to remind us that everything is a beat.

Symptomatic of this sound is the release he presents on our beloved Primitive State Records. Titled Everything’s A Rhythm, this is an original track with all the elements of his sound. It is the debut of SEGUE ONE on the Brazilian label with a powerful single, which is accompanied by a compilation of excellent remixes by artists Break in Transmission, FGarciolo, and RUPTURA. An interesting work, with an unprecedented sound on the Brazilian label. A heavy, piercing, and very dense original, which undergoes special variations in the remixes.

Hammering, incipient, fierce, and with a non-negotiable attitude, the voice announces what is to come, but not before being announced by strong and wild sounds. What comes next is a total submission to the dance floor’s dust and the night’s veins, which claim their own. That is the dancer and the sound.
