Club Furies

Gabo Lucero is a producer and DJ focusing on House, Techno, and Minimal. He is 28 years old, and a member of the duo Loco Blue. He started with music at a young age, experimenting with different musical instruments. This led him to study music production, and he eventually became enchanted by creating and experimenting with sounds from various synthesizers and samplers.

In 2023 he graduated as a DJ from the Casa Sonido Academy and is currently a teacher there, teaching his views on the current scene, as well as marketing and branding tools for future DJs. In his sets he generates interesting sensations, through sounds that go out of the ordinary, extending to a creative and unique zone, avoiding monotony when sharing his music in clubs or bars in Santiago.

His sound search lies in music with a lot of grooves, marked sub-bass, synthesizers, and samples, always aiming at styles such as House, Techno, and Minimal. With his duo Loco Blue, he has released music on labels such as Drumma Records, Honne Music, Ácidos Amigos, and Máximo Records, among others. For his personal project Gabo Lucero, he has released two EPs for the Chilean label Organic Records and the Polish label Aesthetics Records, covering sounds from acid house to hardgroove, respectively.

We received the opportunity to have them in our mix series, the Cintas Furiosas. We didn’t let the opportunity pass us by and thank you for hosting them next. Our mix series is called Cintas Furiosas – Furious Tapes, in English. They are inspired by the band from the cult film The Warriors (1979) called Baseball Furies, and the scintillating Imperator Furiosa, the iconic character from the fourth installment of the Mad Max saga, Fury Road (2015), and now too from the Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024). Conceived as tapes that express a “furious sound”, both as a metaphor and as a sonic process, they acquire a special and unique fury with each artist they feature.

High-octane energy that you feel from the first moment, surrounded by freshness and electricity that lets you feel its weight. And between acid drops the transition looms. Self-renewing power, which at the same time expresses an unbeatable attitude. Freshness, power, and electricity enter rough and desert terrain.

It is a small valley after which everything returns to the previous energetic levels. The night enters its depths, as well as the sound, which begins to put us into a trance with very dense and bright labyrinthine swirls. The rest is brimming with a sound that eternalizes the night. Sweating bodies side by side in a whirlwind of sensuality in crescendo.
