Here comes the next release from the Desierto label. From Tarapacá, in Iquique, Arido Records presents Alexis Ortiz, better known as Mr. Shady, a Colombian artist, based in Pereira. Mr. Shady stars in the forty-second release of the Chilean label’s catalog. He presents an EP called El Sueño Del Pibe. In this work, we can distinguish his particular sound style, with fresh sounds and constant hypnotic fusions, enveloping atmospheres, modular sounds, and dense drums with well-defined low frequencies.
Divergent is an account of the discordant, discrepant, dissenting, dissenting, and contrary. In the midst of different rhythmic forms and versatile sound layers, Divergente nestles in the sonic center of this work. Dense and taciturn at the beginning, it quickly climbs in sonorous valleys that become mountain ranges progressively, without any doubt. Well-delimited sonic layers, and finely conjugated, give it brightness and phenomenal textures.
Thickened with electrifying metallic arms and almost imperceptible cyberpunk ambiances, the rhythm stops in time and space. With it, Rosen-Einstein time tunnels are formed that leave us in nothingness, while sound fills that void. After which the rest becomes mediated delirium and agile, shimmering atmospheres.
