Berlin-based producer Carara – also known as Darkflower, and half of Modern Dynamic – currently living near Aachen, is a resident of Musikbunker / Hotel Europa Aachen and H 14 Würselen. Carara‘s electronic techno is very powerful and dynamic. His sounds tend to be very raw, dark, and with some dark underground vocals. With releases on some of the most important labels of the underground techno circuit, he now presents one of his freshest releases to be released.
He recently had a release on Hxagram Records, for which we present you a Premiere. Now, we present his release on Diffuse Reality Records, his sixth on the Spanish label. So we talk about an old acquaintance, a member of the house. This is Carara_Preset, a collection of four original tracks. We present to you the premiere of Carara_Preset 002.
The word predetermined in the context of this work plays a little with a duality in electronics, but which is extensive to all art. To the established, to that which does not vary, and to variety, on the one hand. On the other hand, to novelty and to the variation that arises from simple variety. More precisely, Carara‘s sound in this work is in appearance a sonorous funnel that drills constantly, without variations, and simple repetitions.
If we look closely and let ourselves be carried away by the sound, we will see that this is the intention. And that is the genius. And therein lies the variation. To make variety out of repetition. That needs a strong self-reflection and a sound design capable of it. So this track is phenomenal, full of history and enviable artistic creativity.
