Swedish techno DJ and producer RE_MAART has been playing and producing music for some 30 years. With a passion for hypnotic and impulsive techno, with precise energy, he has arrived at a signature sound of his own. His musical journey began at an early age when he discovered his brother’s record collection in a music store in the early nineties. Back then it was all about Techno and Acid House, and later Trance was a big inspiration.

He has been deejaying since the mid-90s through clubbing in Scandinavia and also organizing underground events in Gothenburg. His approach and style in his DJ sets is to play dark, hypnotic, and driving Techno, often with high energy and straight baselines. He started producing music in 2010 under different aliases, but in 2018 he decided to switch to RE_MAART and focus on his own signature techno sound.

Now, for one of his most recent works to be released he returns to Defmain Music, one of our favorite labels, which defines itself as «Functional Analysis of Erratic Body Movement». The Leloopar-led label is pleased to announce the electrifying EP titled Weekend Dust. This is the second sensational release from the techno master on the north-american label, following his acclaimed debut that set dancefloors on fire. Weekend Dust is a masterclass in peak-time techno, created for the heart of club nights and the soul of big parties.

Comprised of three tracks, each is a testament to RE_MAART‘s finesse and maturity as a producer. His music not only sounds but resonates with the pulse of the crowd, offering a hypnotic experience that is both intense and subtly nuanced.

The homonymous track is full of energy, and unstoppable rhythm, as well as constant and electric, which is precisely designed for the late hours of the night when the party reaches its climax. The beginning is precise, in crescendo in expectation and emotion, it is subtle in its design. With an icy pulse, it manages to raise the volcanic effervescence, once again in a very delicate manner. We have unknowingly fallen enchanted into the sound of the Swede, who is already weaving shimmering, magical techno in front of us.

With Weekend Dust, RE_MAART cements its reputation as a purveyor of high-quality techno. The production is crisp, the beats tight and the mood is just right. It’s music that not only moves you but transports you.
