Overlap Records is a boutique label that seeks to showcase unique music with meaningful feelings and deep concepts. Based in Quito, Ecuador, and with a sub-label, Caracteres, Overlap presents their next release.

Cohema is a duo of Ecuadorian DJs and producers who have had a lot of buzz in recent years. Their sound oscillates between breakbeat, acid, and techno, offering a refreshing approach to the dancefloor. The duo has its own collective Local Fuzz, and has shared booths with important DJs of the world electronic scene.

Cohema presents his extended play Nowhere To Hide on Overlap. On this EP, Cohema delivers deep sounds and grooves that relax the dancefloor, while keeping it ready to turn up the momentum. It’s a selection that reflects an exquisite taste for breakbeat and intelligent dance music sounds.

A journey into cool-sounding intelligent music that plays sophisticatedly with rhythmic frenzies that are then beautifully depressed after the amount of energy involved. This leads us to stop in a nostalgia bloom, from which our past becomes present again, in such a transparent way that it is mind-blowing and at the same time touching. A beautiful combination of sounds that has left us in awe, amazed by the sound design as well as its unfolding.
