Khristina is of half-Ukrainian and half-Russian descent. She is a DJ and producer based in Tbilisi, Georgia, owner of Raw Waveform. Khristina sees the world as an inexhaustible source of material for any composition. Small and insignificant objects and events of everyday life can be the keys to transition to another level of thinking and being.

The artist likes to maintain a balance between wandering between everyday objects and spatial travel between worlds. In her aspiration, she tries to combine everyday life and its true essence. She has forged her own path through her label, Raw Waveform, in which the unveil has allowed her to freely express her feelings in an experimental way. Her driving, hypnotic style takes listeners into a trance where pulsating rhythms and sincere, vulnerable melodies create an immersive listening experience. In her DJ sets, Xris Vavrzhina takes the listener into a space where there is no time and no conventions.

Now, for one of her most recent releases to be released, she returns once again to Illegal Alien Records. After her last contribution to the V.A., Deported Series: Eleven, Xris Vavrzhina debuts on the label headed by Ricardo Garduno with an incredible five-track EP titled That’s Fine. For those of us who have had the opportunity to listen to it from start to finish, we can simply say that it is one of the best releases of the last few weeks. Its moods and atmospheres, as well as its rhythms and design, everything is spectacular.

One of its tracks, the medullar one, is called Откуда Ты? which in English means «where are you from». With smooth, velvety layers of sound, it quickly gives the effect of immersion. In it, everything else is suspended, but not our perception depending on the sound of this track. Sound is always followed by experiences full of meaning and deep sense. This is what the depth of sound is all about.

It manages to evoke very deep sensations and emotions. The duration of the track manages to evoke such, without haste or untimely. Everything calmly happens, in the middle of nostalgic and brutally peaceful atmospheres. We can’t get enough of listening to this track and the whole release.
