One of our favorite forward-thinking labels is Dalmata Daniel, based in Budapest, Hungary. For their new eight-inch vinyl release, they present Dutch producer Roberto Auser with Data Desire Disorder. An EP part of the lathe-cut series. It is a collection of four tracks, which showcase Roberto Auser‘s deep commitment to analog sound. He achieves this by mixing noir, industrial, minimal synth, dark wave, and electro influences.
Created largely during the pandemic era a couple of years ago, it makes use of vintage hardware and modular synthesizers, creating a sound that is both raw and meticulously detailed. Data Desire Disorder is a continuation of the Dutch artist’s exploration of dark and atmospheric soundscapes, offering a blend of cinematic tension and rhythmic pulse.
Exhibition is the staging of this disordered desire for information. Its sounds are unsettling, loaded with layers of sound. Ranges of combinations 0 and 1 are progressively agglutinated, showing at the same time the cinematic character that characterizes him. In the end, it is the beginning of a sound film that will take us to where Roberto Auser‘s sound has been designed.
