Cia Rebeck is an artist from Patagonia, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Throughout her career, she has built her path based on constant learning. She has played in renowned clubs in Buenos Aires and has performed throughout several cities in the country. With releases on Concepto Hipnotico, Xelima Records, Room, Desorden Kollective, and Voices, she is developing her sound.
A few weeks ago she presented her new project, her record label, called Tridimensional Recordings, which just at the beginning of this year presented its first release. Now, after a second half of the year that came with the second release, comes the third. If the first two releases were compilations of various artists, this time it is a very personal work of the Argentine artist.
Everyone Has a Backstory is composed of ten original tracks and two remixes, one by RNGD and one by KET ARG. Each of the names on this release tells us something about Cia, who shows something of who she is there, and in sound, of course. As Many Dimensions As Decisions Not Taken is a track that conceptually positions itself at the apex of the temporal modes of time, and the decisions that are made, can be made, and were made in them.
As for the sound, the influence of Cia‘s sets is clearly noticeable, with unstoppable rhythm, imposing attitude, and dark atmospheres. The sonic layers are disturbing, and hallucinating, but also bring with them exciting and suggestive callings. She is at the same time persistent, tenacious, and patient in sound design, achieving a phenomenal output.
