The Spanish label, based in Valencia, one of our favorites in terms of sound and curation, presents its new Various Artists compilation. We talk about Hxagrm Records, now releasing Metropolis. Three artists from the family, JX-216, Arof, and Cyd plus three new artists Urgula, Muhammad Taha, and M.R.E.U.X.

While Urgula ipso facto ignites the flame of sound with a rubbery Techno workout, Californian JX-216 drops an energetic dancefloor bomb destined for big-room action. High-tech is provided by Muhammad Taha, while Arof texturizes everything with dreamy clouds of sound floating over a well-crafted groove. Old school makes its presence felt with M.R.E.U.X who further entrenches futurism from the present.

Cyd signs the epilogue of the collection with Steady, drastically changing the style. It is a sonorous velvet of impressive dimensions, both for its beauty and its design. It slows down the beat in a stunning combination of dub vibes and synth wave rhythms. The modeled sound valley is surprised with acid flashes, which texturize it, elevating it. In this way, it becomes a perfect techno ballad for the open spaces of this world.
