One of our favorite record labels is EXP Records, a collective that aims to offer underground techno and electronic vibes from various artists. It is an electronic music netlabel, which is rooted in techno and experimental. For his latest release, he presents INVOCAMVS, the new techno project of Jose Manuel Diaz, an Extremaduran based in Barcelona.

Subconscious, is the new EP of the Spanish artist, who publishes for the first time on EXP Records. An EP composed of six tracks full of atmospheres and raw textures. In the middle of progressions that are gaining in intensity through several layers of sharp percussions. These advocate a hypnotic atmosphere, creating an experience on the dance floor surrounded by trips to the darkest subconscious.

The Hole is the opening track and its title could not be more accurate. For what if it is not a hole that cracks the way to that psychic stratum. Through the progressive accumulation of sound layers, each one with different sounds and nuances within the infinite range of techno, the sound structure becomes overwhelming. Overwhelming in a phenomenal sense, don’t misunderstand.

With continuous intensity, patience, and subtle, the texture manages to be multi-rhythmic, creating soundscapes that can take us to sharp mountain ranges, as well as to warm valleys. In the darkness that closes over the sound, The Hole emerges, fracturing the psyche of the dancer. It is time for there to be no barriers between the Ego and the Self.
