Club Furies

Roger Garcia was born in Barcelona in 1977. After trying many styles, it is techno in which he experiments and starts in 2013 the T-Dok project, which marks his line of work on his label Monark, and on many other techno labels. His sound is influenced by Detroit techno, Germanic techno, and the Birmingham sound of the late nineties. His style is broad, as well as enjoying repetitive bass lines preferably for mixing in each session to provide an underground feel on the dance floor.

For one of his most recent releases, he presents Interstellar on the Argentinean label Ucker Records. A collection of five original tracks, which are complemented by Jorg Rodriguez‘s remix and Pyramidal Decode‘s reformation. Introducing Black Hole, which points to one of those places in the universe that cause both awe and fear. Black Hole transmits a rabid and intense vibe, characterized by its direct and marching rhythm. The progression and precision of the rhythm evoke a sense of mechanical determination that gives it a slightly robotic air.

This sense of determination and controlled aggressiveness makes Black Hole a powerful and imposing presence on the album. It is at the same time the sonic correlate of the place it enunciates in two ways. As a process within which that region of space emerges, and as an astronaut falling into that region. The sensations of it are shocking as well as exciting, especially if we pay attention to the sound of T-Dok and Black Hole.
