/èu-re-ka/ is pronounced. Their mission is the preservation of an ideology of community connection through music, which has been lost over time. We are talking about the Italian collective Eureka Milano, which presents its first release as a record label. It is a compilation of various artists entitled Connection. A collection of ten original tracks, from ten different artists with ten tracks, whose title shows the essence of Eureka Milano.
We present the premiere of the first track, the one that opens this new sound universe, called Deconstruction, presented by AGATA. In philosophy, the process of deconstructing refers to analytically undoing something to give it a new structure. It has been figuratively applied to other fields. In AGATA‘s tack, deconstruction through analysis gives us rhythmic tools on how to combine in a versatile and exceptional way different styles of techno. Among these, I would like to highlight the hypnotic, ambient, drone, and sci-fi.
It is true that many times the artist does not like to be pigeonholed in any of these or in the combination of several of them. But it is also true that for those of us who are not experts in the artist’s sound, they are guides that orient the listener. In the case of AGATA‘s Deconstruction, the way of spinning the sonic layers as the sound progresses, and the ambiences and atmospheres that emerge from the sound are simply spectacular. I can’t imagine any other track to start this first installment of Eureka, and no better title either.
