The desert label presents its new release. From Iquique, in Atacama, Arido Records presents the forty-fifth release of the label, a work produced by the Italian artist iBOT, entitled Matrix Disorder Interstellar. It is an EP composed of five original tracks with sci-fi and drone sounds, very powerful for the dancefloor, and with an interesting share of intense rhythms and dense atmospheres.

iBOT is the alias of Ivo (I.M.) and is part of a new generation of artists whose work is based on the contemporary approach to the hypnotic, minimalist, modular, and raw sounds of techno. Combining the sound of the genre with a mystical methodology, iBOT has released on defining labels.

Now for his release on Arido Records, he has left an indelible mark, because -I must say-, it is one of the best works of these last weeks, as he plays with disturbing atmospheres, striking sound design, and perfect techno and ambient atmospheres. One of the tracks that have left us amazed, among all that have done so, is Interstellar Smoke.

Sometimes you hear it said that Drone is a correlate of warlike situations in which fire and metal unite for destruction. Rarely do we hear of Drone’s ability to join Techno to form a variation that I consider quite novel in electronic music. Both genres, in themselves, are very powerful, especially if we add the Sci-Fi element and the Ambient that in a certain way the Drone supposes.

With those elements, we have more than enough so that a capable sound design turns them into a true work of art. That is the one of iBOT that together with Arido Records, could only become sonorous techno perfection. The rest we leave to you, listeners and dancers, whose perception must be hard hit with this sound.
