Valentin Ginies‘ passion and extensive music collection can be felt in the DJ booth, where he mixes a refined selection of deep, rhythmic, and trippy Techno. He has the ability to combine sensitive emotions with energetic sounds, all with great control of the energy on stage. His sets are lovingly crafted journeys, taking the dancefloor on a psychedelic and sometimes experimental techno journey.

Valentin Ginies is a passionate multi-faceted artist based in Berlin, originally from France. He has dedicated much of his life to music, a career in which he played piano and drums before turning to hardware and turntables at a young age. He founded 11001 Records, a Berlin-based record label focusing on techno, ambient, experimental, and other forms of abstract vision.

NODE Recordings is a Spanish label, whose name alludes to the word node, which means point of intersection, connection, or union of various elements. It is a techno project based in Barcelona, directed by Dario Duegra, currently structured as a series of events and record label. Since its creation in 2017, NODE has become part of the most relevant and emerging wave of hypnotic, mental, and deep techno and its interwoven club culture within the city of Barcelona.

Now, he presents one of his usual Various Artists compilations, composed of five original tracks by five different artists. The track that closes the edition, which on this occasion is called Mist Landscape by Valentin Ginies, who presents Inertia, title alludes to the property of bodies to maintain their state of rest or movement unless an external force acts.

It is through the movement of that which does not move, that is, that quality of bodies to remain in their current operative state, that the sound of this track is extraordinary. Far from the mainstream short tempos, it has the time to develop the whole concept behind its sound. More than ten minutes to fill us with all the fog he builds for us.

This achieves a sonic unity full of depth, abstraction, sonic delicacy, and sophistication, which are unique, in complex sonic layers, but at the same time very unraveled. It is the perfect closure for this soundscape of NODE Recordings, which in the hands of Valentin Ginies succeeds.
