The prolific Italian label Prophet Recordings presents its new release. One of our favorite labels as far as one type of techno is concerned, presents two Italian artists. Pomposo and E8 Machine expose Escape, an EP of four incredible tracks.
Escape is a collection of reverse beats and zaps that create a frenetic texture that fuels an unconventional track. Rata Race tackles repetitions and automatisms with Detroit sounds that bring together radiant elements that melt into a mix of emotions. Erase breaks all the rules, in an arrangement where everything works correctly. It’s all about the granulation of rough and scratchy elements into shimmering harmonics and broken loops.
In Prime chaos and order merge into the same thing. This is demonstrated by the track that with essential elements manages to create the right dynamics for mind and body to interact. It is a track whose sound is sensual and exciting and at the same time powerful, full of intensity, density, and a lot of club freshness.
Above all, it knows how to model human emotions and sensations in the sound, with peaks and valleys, of intensity and anxiety, respectively, that leave us in parallel in despair and illusion. Techno beauty that is futuristic and at the same time nostalgic. Past and future in a unique sonic present, pointing simultaneously to contradictory times.
