Our dear friend returns to our pages. For a few months, he has dedicated himself to mixing live music under the Marbella sun, while the night falls. And, on the other hand, like any restless producer, he has dedicated himself to producing music. And he has done it to present his next album. We are talking about Matt Correa, who returns to present Cucarachas.

This is the beginning of a series of releases that will culminate in his new album, scheduled to be completed in approximately 18 weeks. This is the first single from a set of eight songs that, at first glance, seem independent, but actually reflect a period of intense creativity in his studio.

This period of inspiration coincides with significant changes in Matt Correa‘s life, including a move and the installation of a new studio, which provided an ideal environment for production. During these months of seclusion, Matt worked on a series of projects that captured his emotions and experiences, resulting in a unique collection of tracks that flowed together, one idea leading to the next.

Cucarachas was originally conceived for their live performances. As it gained popularity on the dance floor, it led Matt Correa to include it on this upcoming album. The track stands out for its deep bass and punchy rhythm, with sounds sampled from classic synthesizers like the JV2080 and sequenced with an Akai MPC2500, achieving an old-school feel.

After several bars, it surprises with a vocal sample that mentions the iconic «cucarachas», giving a distinctive touch to the track. This single has gone through several previous versions, and what is presented today is the improved version 3.0. In addition, it is not ruled out that in the near future we will see remixes of this track, continuing its evolution.

It is a very sensual, catchy sound, but not in the way we normally understand it. Because it is subtle, delicate, and sophisticated. Undoubtedly, it invites us to dances, in which people dance very close to each other. At the same time, its old-school cadence gives it a spectacular attitude and class. While the vocals are fleeting, but very precise, leading the mood to rise when necessary.
