Club Furies

Cristian León, better known as León Blavatsky, presents himself as a Colombian DJ and producer, currently based in Germany. His sound art revolves around hypnotic and raw techno, intricately designed with the purpose of guiding the listener through deep aural experiences. One of his productions to be released is Tras el Velo, an EP of three original tracks plus a remix by MPak, to be presented by Signal Rec.

This is a new talent on board the Spanish label’s catalog, who debuts with a solid three-tracker. León Blavatsky presents a wild range of soundscapes with three originals that sit between hypnotic beats and atmospheric sounds. Modern and exquisite techno, neither hard, nor soft, full of details, with a surprising, diverse, and timeless sound. MPak came back for a second collaboration. Known for his unique take on beats, subtle layers of construction, and swirling sequences – this one is no different.

Trecientos Veintitrés is the track that closes this work. After all the intensity that has been played in the previous tracks, which gives an account of the sound of the Colombian artist, but also with all the seal of Signal Rec, this track is an epoxy that puts us floating in the middle of ethereal, calm and placid sounds.

In the midst of dense, fierce, and voracious techno, sometimes ambient subtleties that attract the environment to the sound structure itself become a genius that breaks with the established. While the precise vocals give it that out-of-techno touch that turns out to be brilliant, in an experimental combination without-limits.
