From the realms of mystery and enigma, the kind frequently visited by Diffuse Reality Records, one of our favorite artistic platforms. Based in Barcelona, Spain, originally from Argentina, this time they present Piero Fagone with The Alarm, a collection of six original tracks. A title that in itself tells us a lot about what this work is about, both conceptually and sonically.
The homonymous track is explicit, uncomplicated, and with a direct orientation to the dancefloor, like any electronic music track that claims to be one. With alarm effects, quite explicit throughout the track, that function as mood enhancers and audience furor, and at the same time as a catalyst for its own sonic structure.
With these rhythmic comings and goings, determined by the effect of the alarms, their consequences, and predispositions, the structure is versatile, broad, and very chameleonic. This gives it a degree of complexity that is not apparent at first. In little more than six minutes, the sound transforms that time, turning it into one that expands, melts, and reconfigures itself. Welcome to the time and space of Piero Fagone.
